Dorothy L. Schoettlin

Dorothy Lee (Stinchfield) Schoettlin, 91, passed away May 27, 2013 at Good Samaritan Home - Pathways II. Dorothy was a longtime Evansville west-sider. She was active in White School PTA, Eastern Star, Hadi Shrine, White Shrine and bible study, and was a member of St. Mark’s UCC. She traveled with her husband to Panama on several trips and they were avid golfers at Howell Park. Dorothy took great enjoyment in her 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Melvin J.; daughter, Sandra Schneider. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Paul) Fongheiser of Ashburn, Virginia, Maretta (Carl) Nicholson of Elberfeld, and Julie (Thomas) Nicholson of Dadeville, Alabama. Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive with entombment following. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Alzheimer’s Unit, 601 N.
