Clifford spent his entire work career with Whirlpool Corporation from the time he graduated from Harrison High School in 1975 to such time Whirlpool closed its doors in Evansville. He waited until mid-life to find and marry his soulmate, Lisa in 1998. Together they have a beautiful daughter, Sarah Renee. Both his wife and daughter feel blessed to have been a very special part of Clifford’s life. He will remain alive in their hearts forever. Clifford also came to accept Jesus Christ into his life, which brings great comfort to all who loved him.
Clifford was an avid Cubs baseball fan, faithfully cheering them on, win or lose. Other than his family, nothing brought him more joy than music, both playing music and listening to it, particularly his beloved Beatles. No one, is more of a devoted Beatles fan, than Clifford.
Clifford is preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Nicholas Mathew; and his niece, Melissa (Sallee) Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Williams); his daughter, Sarah Renee; his sister Faye Gibson Cottrell (Fred); his brother, Keith Gibson (Julie); his sister, Wanda Sallee (Tim); and several loving nieces and nephews who he played with, cared for, and helped raise over the years.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
