Jacqueline Carol Staggs, 76, of Evansville, IN passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 24, 1947 to the late Jack E. and Opal L. (Brown) Wolfe.
Carol retired at the age of 59 as a bank officer at Fifth Third Bank, where she worked for over 25 years. She worked as a teller, investment broker, and bank officer. She also served as vice president and president of the American Safe Deposit Association. Carol was very compassionate in her work helping people. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Carol loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, painting, gardening, crafts, traveling, decorating, and being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold R. Staggs; daughter, Kimberly Walker (Scott); sons, Keith Staggs (Jill) and Michael Staggs (Angela); grandchildren, Amberly Williams (Brett), Lydia Brown (Jack), Amanda Voltz (Jordyn), Evan Staggs, Andrew Staggs (Jayme), Ian Staggs (E.J.), Hannah Amalaha (Wathel), Alexa Storie (Damion), Josiah Staggs (Taylor), Gideon Staggs, Malachi Staggs, and Jackson Stuckey; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Adalyn, Brynlee, Kobe, Eli, Eden, Asher, Micah, Rhett and Samuel; sisters, Cheryl Rudd (David) and Elissa Stuckey (Harold); brother, David Wolfe; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, with Dr. Jack Eberhardt officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Alexander Memorial Park.
