Bill George Smith

Bill George Smith, 88, of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on February 3, 1932 to the late William and Martha Smith. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Silver Star. Bill was a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge #464 and the Hadi Shrine. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Anne Smith. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Virginia Ellen Smith; sons, Michael Wade, Jeffrey William and Stephen Clarence Smith; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Alexander West Chapel with burial to follow in Maumee Cemetery, Owensville, IN.
