She was born to the late Hugh Dalton (HD) and Ivyl (Powell) Rogers on June 3, 1942, in Christian, KY at her grandmother’s home.
Betty was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church on Volkman Rd in Evansville, IN. She met her wonderful husband, Robert (Bob) Gene and they were married January 6, 1962 in a snowstorm, which caused her to be an hour late. As of this year, they were married 55 years. Soon after, she enrolled in DeVry Beauty School graduating in 1962. This was her love, to do hair and talk to people. They would stay friends and acquaintances for years to come. She worked over 40 years being a beautician and would have her own shop in several locations. Naming it after her Daughter (Gina's Beauty Salon). Always wanting to have her shop at home is where she was for several years and retired at home.
While Bob was serving in the United States Air Force in Dayton, OH they were blessed with their only child Gina Lou, born at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Gina blessed Betty with 3 grandchildren, Jessica Roni Garrett-Sutherland (Terrence) of Newburgh, IN, Wallace Wade Garrett (El Mira, NY) and Bradley Hugh Garrett of Evansville, IN; great-grandchildren, Brianna Aimee' Hoye and Amaya LeNaye Stith. All of these grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life!
