Barbara J. Barnes

She loved sewing, shopping, traveling, playing card games, and most importantly, spending time with family. Barbara was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Barnes; and sister, Phyllis McClarney.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca Wolff, and Brent Barnes (Carol); grandchildren, Erin Brazel (Nicholas), Barbara Bubalo (Michael), David Barnes (Christine), Greg Barnes (Katie), and Jenny Evans (John); 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Anita Shouse and Janet Blaize; and special friend, Rex May.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd. Evansville, IN, officiated by Rev. Carl Mann. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her niece, Lori Mattingly, and Rex May for their care and kindness.
