B. Jeanne Stewart

B. Jeanne Stewart died on April 3, 2011. Since February 2009 she had been a resident at CORE Nursing and Rehabilitation in Evansville. Jeanne was born on March 26, 1928, in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of John “Wes” and Beatrice Lucas Stewart. She retired in 1978 from the lab at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville. Those surviving include her brother Norman L. Stewart (wife Norma) of Forsyth, Illinois, niece Lisa Stewart Cope (husband William) and their children Brent (wife Angie) and Brian, nephew David E. Stewart (wife Vickie); half-brother The Reverend Jack O. Stewart (wife Ellen) of Pontiac, Illinois, and their children Judy Stewart Imes (husband Dean) and Jonathan Stewart (wife Vicky) and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brady Cope (grandnephew), and long-time friend Bonnie Scott. In keeping with Jeanne’s expressed wishes, a private service will be held. Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made to CORE or Evansville VistaCare. The family would like to thank the staff of CORE and VistaCare for their loving attention to Jeanne. A special thank you is extended to Layne Damm, a neighbor and faithful friend, for her constant caring. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander North Chapel.
