Annie Marie Haag, 89, of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born in Evansville, IN on January 1, 1934 to the late Richard Schwindel and Elsie (Heinmiller) Schwindel.
She was a hard worker, always staying busy, and passed that trait onto her children. Annie loved being outdoors, and enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden. She enjoyed working puzzles, especially with the help of her family.
Annie is preceded in death by her son, Robert Alan Haag; grandson, Levin Haag; siblings, Luella Kercher, Richard Schwindel Jr., Edgar Schwindel, and Louise Boyer.
She is survived by her daughters, Roberta Waldroup (Rick), and Kim Steckler (Chad); sister, Faye Chase; grandchildren, Jimmy Kerby, Chrissy Ash, Brian Gaiser, Brooke Newhouse, Cassie Steckler, Amber Anslinger, and Justin Haag; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Liam, and Daniel Kerby, Taylor and Degan Ash, Logan and Levi Gaiser, Brantley and Macon Newhouse, Mason Anslinger, and Luke Haag.
Annie's family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Wellsprings at Heritage Center, and Heritage Hospice for their care and compassion.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
