Obituary of Anne Mae Moore
Anne Mae Moore, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, passed to her heavenly home March 9, 2015 at the age of 100. She was born in Union County, Kentucky, one of twelve brothers and sisters, and moved to Evansville, Indiana for the first half of her life. She moved to California, where she lived in Azusa, El Monte, and San Dimas. Anne then moved to Princeton and Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Azusa, California for approximately 58 years. Anne was also a member of several parishes of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elizabeth and Clem Utley; husband, Jack Wilson Moore; brothers, Finus, Bill, Orville, and John; sisters, Christine, Ethel, Betty, Katie, and JoAnn; and, one unnamed child that died at birth. Anne’s survivors include her sons, Joseph R. Moore of Long Beach, Mississippi and Jack V. Moore of Princeton, North Carolina; sister, Mavis L. Brite of Eastvale, California; grandchildren, Rosanna Lynch and Christina Curtis both of California, Tammy L. Bowerman of Oklahoma, Tracey Moore and Matthew Moore both of Louisiana, Angela D. Slaughter and Jack V. Moore, Jr. both of Mississippi, Cynthia L. Hodges of North Carolina, and William Moore of Washington; and, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street, Evansville, Indiana, 47712, with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville.
