Rolland “Ron” Joseph Lint, age 79, passed away peacefully into eternity with Jesus, on December 9, 2023. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a pillar of strength to all who knew him. His departure from his earthly home has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on August 10, 1944, in Springfield, Missouri, Ron was raised by his parents, Rolland O. Lint and Mildred L. Lint. After living in many locations as an Army “brat”, he settled in Texas where he launched his own company. In 2003, he and his family made Colorado their home.
Throughout his life, Ron touched the lives of many through his kindness and generosity. He was passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ and led many friends and family to their relationship with Jesus. Ron embodied the values of his faith, living a life centered around love, compassion, and devotion to God. His commitment to his faith was evident in everything he did, and his unwavering belief in the power of prayer brought comfort and solace to those around him. Ron was an active member of Renovation Church in Colorado Springs and loved his time spent in leadership with them.
Ron was a true family man, finding his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved family. He spent 4o years married to his loving late wife, Linda Proctor Lint. Together they were devoted parents to their four children. Later in life, he married his beloved wife, Christine Jeanne Lint, and was honored to become the father to her daughter. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and his eldest son, Jeffrey Lint. Ron is survived by his wife, Christine, his elder sister, Barbara Bonino, his daughters Kimberly and Alex Urrutia, Kate and Jake Howton and his sons Christopher Lint and Jason Lint, his grandchildren, Bethy and Niko Sanchez, Austin and Jasmine Urrutia, and Sterling and Jake Rounsavall, his great-grandchildren Kingston and Mila Sanchez, and his niece Pam (Jeff) Baca. He was a devoted family man, guiding with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love.
In addition to his dedication to his family, Ron excelled in his professional life. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science and Finance. He became a member of the American Society of Appraisers and was an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation. He furthered his education at Biola University with a master’s level achievement in Christian Apologetics becoming a Certified Apologetics Instructor. Ron was also an accomplished author and mostly recently published the book “The 16 Most Asked Questions About Christianity: that No One Wants to Answer”. His hard work, integrity, and dedication to teach others earned him the respect and admiration of all that knew him.
Ron’s legacy of faith, love, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. All who knew and loved him are welcome to gather to celebrate his life on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 12:00pm -1:00pm at Boot Barn Hall, 13071 Bass Pro Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80921, with a reception to follow. Ron will be laid to rest on Monday in Estes Valley Memorial gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Renovation Church.
