August 20, 1950 - July 20, 2023
Michael Lee Hoffman, beloved son of Clarence and Rose Ann (Powers) Hoffman, was born on August 20, 1950, and peacefully entered into eternal life on July 20, 2023. He is now reunited with his loving parents and his brother Brian in heavenly peace.
Michael is survived by two brothers, Jim and Gary, along with their families, who share many memories of grand adventures together.
As a devoted father, Michael leaves behind his daughter, Shelley Hoffman. Additionally, he was a loving stepfather to Charlene Gevara. He took immense pride in being a father-in-law to Danny Gevara and he was a doting grandfather to his six beloved grandchildren: Aubree, Jacob, Joshua, Alana, Miriam, and Esther. His presence brought joy and warmth into their lives, and his memory will live on in their hearts.
Throughout his life, Michael embraced various passions that enriched his journey. He was actively involved in the Moose Lodge, where he found a sense of community and camaraderie with fellow members.
A true adventurer, Michael was a member of the Manx Club, and his purple dune buggy was a reflection of his vibrant spirit.
Traveling frequently with friends and visiting family and loved ones in Ohio brought him immense joy. His life-long best friend Herman Vermeulen was constantly by his side through many of life’s ups and downs.
Michael’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His kind heart, infectious smile, and genuine warmth touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge on August 20th at 4pm, friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to pay their respects and share their memories of this remarkable man.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Interfaith Community Services in memory of Michael Lee Hoffman, as it was a cause that held a special place in his heart.
