YOUNG, Joe Lee 89 of Englewood, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton with his family at his side. Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Shirley Ann Young in 2013, a son Joe Michael Young and daughter Debbie Young. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Terry Young of Dayton, Rick and Debbie Young of Brookville, Larry and Cathy Young of Englewood. Also surviving are two granddaughters Katie Young and Kelly Young both of Englewood, one grandson Josh Young of Michigan, great-grandson Brady Weaver, great-granddaughter Addison Davidson, brother Dick Young of Huber Heights, close friend Richard Gregg and all of his Gold Key Condo Friends and many others. Joe was a US Naval Veteran serving in WW II on the USS Shangri La, retired from Dayton Press in 1982 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed attending his great-grandchildrens sporting events and made many friends at these events. Private service’s will held at the convenience of Joe’s family. Entombment will be in Royal Oak Mausoleum, Brookville. Contributions in memory of Joe may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Dayton VA Hospital Hospice Unit, Lakeside Manor, Bldg. 320, Dayton, Ohio 45428. A Celebration of Life in honor of Joe and his 90th birthday will be held at Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm.
