Charles Edwin Land Sr.

Charles Edwin Land Sr. age 71 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 21, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH. Charles was a 1966 graduate of Milford High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 2 tours of duty with the U.S. Army. Charles attended Fairview Brethren in Christ Church in Englewood. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kimberly Suzette Meuller; 1 son, Jeremiah "Jerry” Land; and 2 sisters, twins Carol Duffy and Patricia Biggs. Charles is survived by his wife of 8 years, Linda (nee Timmer) Land, married May 21, 2011; parents, Ruby (nee Riddle) and Earl Land Sr.; sons, Charles “Chuck” Land Jr. of Cincinnati, and Seth & wife Melissa Land of Cincinnati; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; brothers, Earl Jr. & wife Donna Land of Xenia, Paul & wife Leslie Land of Cincinnati, and Simon Peter Land of Cincinnati; sister, Rebecca Pape of FL; several nieces and nephews; 4 step-daughters, Tammy & husband Jerry Nelson of MI, Melissa & husband Duane Zuverink of MI, Rachael & husband Jonathan Witteveen of TN, and Emily & husband Jon Fusco of MI; as well as 9 step-grandchildren. A Celebration of Charles’ Life will be Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Brethren in Christ Church, 750 Union Blvd. Englewood, OH 45322 with Pastor Mark Ballard officiating.
