She was born to the late Mildred Virginia James Eddings & Thomas Joseph Eddings January 15, 1946 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Sandy graduated from Venice High School, Venice, Florida. She was a dispatcher for North Port Police Department, North Port Florida. She worked in record’s department at Alachua County Sheriff Office in Gainesville Florida from 8/6/85 - and retired in 2/1/10.
She married Theodore Milton Purcell in 1982. Sandy’s survivors include son, Timothy Kerns & daughter in law Laurie Kerns of North Port, Florida, daughters, Valerie Corl of North Port, Florida and daughter Michelle Kerns Lee of Harrisville West. Virginia; Daughter Pamela & Dusty Echols of Ocala, Florida; one sister Donna Wyrick of Keystone Heights, Florida; one brother Greg Eddings of Keystone Heights, Florida. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Karen Eddings.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for the family.
