Robert (Bob) L Hart, of Englewood FL, formerly of Weymouth MA, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2022 at home with family. Bob was born to the late Joseph (Hector) and Pauline Hart on February 12, 1947 in Cambridge MA.
After attending Cambridge Rindge and Latin, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force spending four years of active duty in service to his country. Bob spent the majority of his career with Verizon prior to retiring to Englewood FL. Bob was an avid boater in both Massachusetts and Florida, and greatly enjoyed his time on the water with many friends and family. Bob was also a long-time member of Town River Yacht Club in Quincy, MA and spent several years as a member of the club’s Board of Directors.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (Flannery) Hart, sons Joseph Hart of Raynham, MA and Brian Hart of Weymouth MA, daughter Michelle McElman of Weymouth MA, and stepson Paul. He is survived by his brother Richard Hart and his wife Pamela of Hingham, MA and sister Patricia and husband Jack Mercer of Delaware. Bob was the loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren.
Bob will be honored in a celebration of life. Date to be announced in the coming months.
