He graduated from Bensalem High School (Class of 1963) where he wrestled and played football and baseball. After high school, Henry served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan (1964-65) and was among the first marines to land in Vietnam in 1965 where he served as a sergeant commanding amphibious tractors. Because of his military service, Henry received such commendations as National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Marksman Rifle Badge.
Henry moved to Englewood, FL in 1985 and enjoyed a career in real estate. He will be remembered as a patriot, entrepreneur, hunter, avid storyteller, and strong-willed individual.
Henry leaves behind many loved ones, which includes his wife, Sharon; daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Luke) Barnes; three grandchildren and their families: Matthew (Nicole) Cole, Stephanie (Brandon) Cole, and Allyson (Wesley) Cole; three great-grandchildren: Adisynne, Matthew Jr., and Oakley Cole; three step-children and their families: Richelle (James Jr.) Horner, Rocco (Amanda) DiGiorgio, and Anthony (Lisa) Vacca II; nine step-grandchildren: James (Kyleigh) III Horner and Michael Horner; Clay, Taylor, Bradley, Mikayla, and Emma DiGiorgio; Dion and Kirstyn Vacca; two step-great-grandchildren: Sawyer and James Horner IV.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harry (Rita) Thron and John (Loraine) George.
He and his stories will be missed dearly.
