Michael Perry Browning

Anyone who knew Mike would agree if he were to describe his passing it would probably be summed up in 4 words - "We have a situation."

A beloved husband and father, Mike was very active in his community. He was known by many names and loved by all who met him. Some, but not all, of the titles held by Mike through the years were: Dad, Coach, Little Debbie Guy, Commish, and Mike on the Mic. Mike was a District Sales Representative for McKee Foods (Little Debbie Snack Cakes) for whom he worked for over 30 years. He loved being a DJ and working in Public Safety as a dispatcher. He was a very active parent who would often coach his kid's baseball teams. Through the decades he served as a volunteer firefighter for Cedar Hammock, West Manatee and North River Fire Departments. His most recent post was that of Fire Commissioner for North River Fire District which he began in 2006 and held until his passing. Knowing Mike and his sarcastic wit, he will be looking down at everyone who attends the service and remarking, "I'm glad you got to see me."

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Eleanora. He is survived by his wife Kelly (Brady), 2 sons- Conner and Collin, his brother Steve, his sister Lisa, 2 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
