Just over a year has passed and our hearts and prayers continue to accompany you each day.  The Catholic Community at Relay

Words will never describe the deep sense of loss of such a gentle and true friend as Michael. We extend our most heartfelt condolences to Cap, Farah, Frank, Kendall, Joan, John, Bridget, Kevin, Patrick, his nieces, nephews and his extended family members and friends. We'll forever hold Michael in our hearts.
Stories of Michael's kindness and sensitivity abound, and we hope that sharing a few "Michael anecdotes" will further reveal his beautiful character and the intensity of his love for all things great and small. So often, Michael saw value and hope where others did not.
The Catonsville community knew Michael as a compassionate giver of time and talent. He not only volunteered for community projects like Catonsville Rails to Trails, but he happily worked pro bono when a homeowner in a tough situation needed work done but wasn't able to finance it.
Once, after starting a large tree job, he discovered a bird's nest with eggs in one of its remaining branches. In typical Michael fashion, he approached his client and asked for a two-month reprieve to give the soon-to-be hatchlings time to leave the nest. The homeowner agreed, and he returned to finish the job only after the "babies" had safely taken flight.
Michael sometimes was "conflicted" when a job required him to replace sad-looking shrubs and plants because, in his heart, he wanted to give every single one of them its best shot to flourish. He often dropped bedraggled clumps of vegetation requiring lengthy rehab into our yard, hoping we'd welcome them despite their sorry lack of curb appeal. Many of those same plants, bearing just a few leaves or broken stems years ago, now surround our home and appear to have been part of the landscape forever. Michael's love for and his nurture of nature made the world a more beautiful place.
We're blessed to have known Michael as a dear friend and can never express our gratitude for the "gems" he shared with us—from his getting-started years to meeting Cap, the love of his life, or the birth of Farah Rose, the other love of his life— and so much more. We know Michael was a happy man who loved his family, his friends, his life and the world around him. In turn, he was and always will be loved and treasured for sharing his compassion and humanity among us.

My prayers go to the Dingle family. I pray the peace of God comforts them family and friends during this time.

Having suddenly lost an adult son five years ago my heart aches for Frank, Kendall,Cap & ALL the dingle family.

Michael had just finished a huge tree in our yard and I had just dropped off the check with a note telling him how I looked forward to our next chat. We stood outside and talked about all kinds of stuff, not even tree related for so long our teeth were chattering. Such a sincere, honest, wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family.

The friends of Michael Dingle are hosting a remembrance party for the benefit of Mike's spouse and daughter. We hope to throw the kind of bash that Mike would have enjoyed on April 13th from 12-5 at the Avalon area of the Patapsco park.Fliers will be posted around the Catonsville area. Help us to celebrate an extraordinary individual.

I've known few people so linked to the land and to the loves of his life -- Cap and Farah Rose -- as Michael. As he tended to our trees and gardens, he taught me how to let nature have its way, as the name of his business indicated. I remember our first autumn on N. Beaumont over a decade ago, after he'd done such a great job getting our property looking so beautiful the previous spring. I called Michael for an estimate on raking and bagging our leaves. I remember him saying: "Why would you want to do that, Kathy? The earth loves those leaves, wants them, needs them. Let them decompose ... naturally." I was blown away by the fact that he could have made money on my proposal (!) but his ethical commitment to nature and its dynamics held sway. And boy, do I remember when he fell in love with Cap and then Farah. I'm so glad I ran into them walking in the neighborhood several months ago and had a chance to walk and chat and laugh. I value all memories of Michael, but especially that one. Michael will be in our hearts and minds forever.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Lifting up the entire family in prayer.

Mike you were one of the best climbers I have ever known and such a great friend!! I will always think of you when I'm on any rock face!

Rest in Peace Mike. You touched the lives of many- always ready to help out, teach young scouts and old rookie leaders. Being a marked man as an Eagle Scout you made the rank proud. Thank you for being a part of my life and that of my sons. We will miss you.

My stomach turned when I heard of Michael's passing and the pain of sadness swept over me. My heartfelt sympathies went immediately out to his family and all I could do was pray. A flood of fond memories occurred. Because of the distance, I won't be able to visit on Sunday but I send my condolences to everyone who is directly impacted by his immediate death. 

To his mom and dad, my deepest sympathy and warm hugs are sent your way. I remember visiting with you all when I was going through treatments of chemotherapy and Michael was truly my angel. Thank you for bringing him into the world and exercising patience and love. He was a great addition and definitely a bright spot in my life. I don't think he ever met a stranger. He was cordial and friendly to everyone we came in contact with. You did good work. To his sisters and brothers, he could not be the man he was without the sibling companionship you offered him. I think you all are awesome people and he was blessed to have a family like you and be graced with the title of uncle. And one last person that I never had the chance to meet but I'm praying for you just the same; Michael's wife, Capucine, and his daughter, Farah. It brings joy to my heart to know that he was loved by you and experienced the gift of fatherhood. I know you must be a very special woman and no doubt, this is a heartbreaking week for you. Take moments to close your eyes, deep breathe in and then slowly breathe out those hurtful pains of loss in your heart while remembering the blessing of his friendship and love; then SMILE big. Rest assured that the memories are gifts that no one can take away. I pray that you find comfort and peace of mind while your heart is on the mend and you surround yourself with family and friends. I'm keeping you all close in thought and in my prayers; including his co-worker. 

It was a privilege and a blessing to be able to work with Michael back in 2001 when he first started his business. I witnessed the passion he had for working in nature. Whether or not he was hauling limbs off the property in his old Brown truck, trimming trees, mulching, moving stones in the wheel barrow, creating retaining walls, drafting flower beds, planting trees or shrubs,  pulling stumps out of yards with his truck, or offering clean up services around residential homes, Michael completed the task with determination and ease; feeling a sense of accomplishment looking at the transformation. Drive by's were customary. He absolutely loved having his hands in the earth and yet dirty at the end of a day, he could clean up well. Coffee stops at 7-11 were priceless and his smile was contagious. He had a brain working behind that smile and I know that will be missed by many. I am better for having known him and I'm proud of his accomplishments. God took good care of him and he was surrounded by people who loved him. From Texas, I extend my deepest sympathy to all family and friends who knew our one and only, Michael Dingle. He's with me in spirit and I'm giving thanks to God for the blessing of such a good friend.

Michael was one of the most giving people I have ever met, He lived his life with one motto, Trust God, clean house and help others, I am a better person for knowing him. God bless his Family

I only knew Michael through the pride and love that shown from his parents, but he must surely have been an exceptionally good man. Wishing comfort and peace to all after such a loss.

My heart is truly broken. While it has been many years since I have seen him, just thinking of Mike brings a smile to my face. For the 3 years I served as one of his Scout leaders, we had a wonderful friendship and many many weekends camping together. May God bring His  peace to all the family.

I remember Mike from my days as a young Scout.  He was many years older than me but always took a genuine interest in the questions I had and treated me like an equal.  That's uncommon to experience when you're 12 yrs old and it's something I never forgot even to this day. Those of us who had a chance to know him are lucky- may he rest in peace.

There are no words, only prayer and love for you in your heartbreaking and sudden loss of your precious Michael. . .son, brother, husband, father, and uncle.

Michael was a very special person.  He will never be forgotten.  I'm sure everyone who knew him has a story or two to tell.  We never knew when he might pop in to say hello.  Our hearts go out to the entire family.
