I'm just seeing this and I'm heartbroken.  I worked at Motorola for several years and when Linda and I met, we instantly became friends, at work and outside of work.  We've lost touch over the years but  I spoke to her a short time ago and knew about her health.  I thought about her this morning and found this obituary.  My deepest condolences go out to all her family, friends, and former co-workers.  I'm sure quite a few of her former colleagues have remained close to her.  Linda, to this day, I'm still putting hot sauce on fried chicken!  40 years later!  You were right, it's much better that way!  This condolence/tribute that was created for Linda is beautiful!

Good bye Dear friend. It's still hard to believe you're gone, but I know you are with loved ones, especially your sister Dottie. You passed on my mom's birthday June 9th, you left on that same day one hundred years later. My mom loved you. Working together at Motorola, you taught me everything on Macintosh  and binding those dang proposals! We had fun.

Michelle, your mom loved you more than life and was so proud of you too. What good memories to have of a super lady, mom and best friend.  She will always remain beautiful and loving in my heart. Remember her with laughter and it will get easier, but there will some tough days. Grief never leaves,  it just changes. I love you,

I would like to share a story in hopes that it helps ease the sadness of her passing:

Two days before my mom's passing, Aunt Barb and I were visiting her. During the visit she wanted to hold my hand, so I did.  While holding my hand, she looked at me and said "Oh Dottie, Oh Dottie" then said "Please God, Please God". I assured her that everything was okay and for her not to be scared.

The next day (the day before she passed), Donna was there visiting and asked her if saw Dottie and she said "Yes".  That evening, while holding her hand I told her that we will all be okay and when she sees Aunt Dottie again to please go with her.
    
The morning of her passing, while in her room, a ray of sunshine came through the window and illuminated her face and a beautiful cardinal appeared at her window, it was just chirping and flapping it's wings. This was such a peaceful moment and it lasted about a minute.  The cardinal flew away as the ray of sunshine went away too.  

Remember Linda as a good friend, having a heart of gold, one-of-a-kind, with a strong personality and a beautiful soul.


So very sorry for your loss. I remember all those years ago when I moved here from Greece. You were kind and would ask me over to play. Your Mom was so nice to me. My heart goes out to you and your family. 💙

As I sit here the morning of your funeral, I have so many emotions.  I am sad that you are no longer here, I am relieved that you are no longer suffering and in pain, and I am happy that you are now with so many of our family members.

I will always remember you dancing around and singing  to your favorite song "The Love Shack" by the B-52's.

Linda was the ultimate team contributor for our customer bid proposal teams. She worked extremely hard and often worked late at night and on the week-ends to produce the finished proposals to be submitted to our customers. We could not have been as successful as we were without Linda’s skills and commitment.

Linda and I loved thrift shopping and antique hunting. She is my Aunt that bought me my first acrylic to do my own nails. It's because of her that I got started in doing nails as a profession. When I was 18 and visited her and Ricky, she said if I cut her hair she'd highlight mine. ( that was way before I went to school for it) How trusting she was of me. I will forever miss going to her house, having crabs (she only ate whats in the corners of top crab shell, and crab soup, me and Ricky would eat the rest of crabs. We both enjoyed house plants and I still have a baby spider plant that is now a gigantic mother plant  of many given away babies. Im glad we FaceTimed and I got to see her in person before  she departed our physical place. I love you, Linda, and will forever miss your laugh, smile and generosity. 

To My Michelle (and all of Linda's family) - -
My deepest sympathy on the loss of such an amazing, wonderful woman.  My heart is broken as Linda and I have been friends for over 35 years, since working together at Motorola in 1998.  She was "Big Louie" and I was "Little Louie" (I have no idea where the names actually came from).  We were the kind of friends that did not need to speak every day or month.  But if one of us needed anything, we were there for each other, no questions asked.  My love for Linda will never diminish, and Michelle, you will always be "Winnie" to me and my family.  I will be here for you always just like with your Mom.  There are just not enough words to console your broken heart right now.  But she has instilled in you the strength you need to carry on in her memory and light.   Linda is now enjoying the water and ocean view without any pain and suffering.  

I enjoyed very much working with Linda at Motorola. She was an incredibly hard worker, true professional and team player. Condolences and prayers for her family.
