Janet Louise Sank, age 71, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Janet is survived by her Beloved Husband of 38 years, William Sank; Dear Step-Son James Sank; Dear Sister, Gwen Coburn; two Grandchildren and two Great-Grandson’s; Loving Niece and Nephews Charlene (Michael) Backoff, Frank (Angie) Coburn; three Loving Great-Nieces; and two Great Great Nephews and Six Great Great Nieces.
Janet is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Geneva Carter; Sister, Yvonne Carle; and Step-Son, William Sank.
Janet had a passion for classic cars, and alongside her husband, she co-founded the car club “Lost in the 50’s”, sharing their love with friends and other car enthusiasts. Together with her husband William, she also founded and operated “Flamingo Express”, a DJ and karaoke business that brought joy to many events and celebrations. Janet was also an active member of the Women of the Elks, and had a successful career as a nail technician, serving faithful clients for over 20 years.
A visitation for Janet will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A Funeral Service will occur Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:00AM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home. Interment to immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
