Esther V. Merson

Esther Virginia Merson, age 84, of Elkridge, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Esther was born October 9, 1937 to parents James, Sr. and Iola Head. Esther was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Samuel Eugene Merson and close companion and friend to Howard Fales; devoted mother of Cindy Miller (Dennis), Sherrie Slavotinek (Joe), Dale Merson (Cheryl) and Dan Merson (Diane); dear sister of James Edward Head, Jr. (Betty), Jeffrey Norman Head (Kim) and the late Patricia Gwynn Williams (Bruce); cherished grandmother of Amber, Lisa, Kristin, Ashley, Brad, Ryan, Brittany, Josh, Erin, Michael, Daniel and Jeremy and great-grandmother of Kayla, Jocie, Lily, Cole, Dominic, Jackson, Ava, Riley, Brantley, Kylie, Trey, GG and Autumn.

A visitation for Esther will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Melville Chapel UMC, 5660 Furnace Avenue, Elkridge, MD 21075. Interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075.
