Shirley Kay Bowen, age 83, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on Thursday June 25, 2020 at Grand Traverse Pavilions. Shirley was born June 27, 1936 in Armada, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, James (Sandy) Bowen Jr, Craig Bowen, and Kurt (Barb) Bowen. Also surviving are grandchildren Lindsay, Kyle, Mikayla, Josh, Jamie, Travis, Erin and Roxanne; five great grandchildren, Noah, Sofia, Sebastian, Christian and Anthony.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.
