Bob was born January 3, 1950 to the late James Calvin and Velma Nugent Sarver. He was a 1968 graduate of West Hardin High School and a member of Summit Methodist Church.
Bob loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. He was always up for a good yard sale and held many sales of his own. He was an avid cook and prepared many meals for church gatherings and family dinners. Before his cancer took a hold of him, Bob found himself pretty good at square dancing and he even learned to call a dance or two. He was a member of Radcliff Grand Square.
Bob had a very big heart and loved helping his community. He was a charter member of the Stephensburg Volunteer Fire Department for many years and retired as an EMT for the Elizabethtown Ambulance Service after 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James Michael Sarver and Anthony “Butch” Sarver.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Hager of Cecilia; one sister, Deborah (Dennis) Fulkerson of White Mills; a sister-in-law, Carla Sarver of White Mills; three grandsons, Derrick, Devon, and Cade Hager; three great-grandchildren, one niece, and several nephews and cousins.
The funeral is Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Sean Mitchell and Pastor Don Cox officiating.
Burial follows in Stephensburg Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
