Bob was born on September 8,1935 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Nova (Boone) and Clint
Crowe.
Bob graduated from Western Kentucky University. He moved to Elizabethtown and worked as a medical
lab technologist at Hardin Memorial Hospital (now Baptist Health Hardin) for 40 years, serving as the Department Manager for the majority of those years. Due to his exceptional and lengthy service, he
was honored when the laboratory was named the Carney and Crowe Laboratory in 1997. In addition to
running the laboratory, he was a Real Estate Broker to support his hobby of buying and renting houses.
Bobs greatest pride and joy was his family, which he loved to spend time and travel with, and he was an
avid University of Kentucky sports fan. He was a long-time member and usher at Severns Valley Baptist
Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Crowe, and sisters Molene Emmert, Christene Crowe, Alene Burks, and Geraldene Atwell.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mitzi Wall Crowe of Elizabethtown; three children, Carolyn (Jim)
Riticher, Christy (Gunnar) Jones, and Dale (Dawn) Crowe; five grandchildren, Ray Riticher, Natalie (Josh) Munro, Brooke Jones, Gannon Crowe, and Hudson Crowe; one great grandson, Hugh Munro; several nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Jack Atwell.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Emory Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
