The beautiful journey of Ora Ellen Belt Paris began on November 9, 1940 in Hardin County, Kentucky where she was born of James Roy and Alice Wilson Belt. Ellen grew up with two brothers: Richard Belt and James Roy Belt II and two sisters: Helen Belt Brown and Katherine McMillen, all of whom have preceded her in death.
Ellen is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Dennis D. Paris, her daughter, Dionna M. Paris, her granddaughter, Cayla (Tyler) Ryan, two great- grandchildren, Calvin and Quincy Ryan, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Ellen was a hard worker and loyal to her family. She was best known for her wondrous banquets and recipes, and her uncanny ability to pack up everything in the house and move across the country in record- breaking time. She made it to her final home with God, whom she loved all her life on November 25, 2024.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Hardin Memorial Park.
