Henry Arlan “Pop” Vick, 98, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Glendale, Elizabethtown and Lexington, died peacefully Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living Home in Round Rock, TX of natural causes.
Henry spent several years farming before continuing his education in bible colleges, receiving an Associate Degree in Theology. He then pastored several central Kentucky churches before working in insurance, home mortgages, real estate and a federal civil defense education program. He then took a position in the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet, rising to the office of Director of Local Valuation, Department of Property Taxation. Henry retired from the Revenue Cabinet in 1991 to care for his wife who was a stroke patient.
He was born June 6, 1926 to Corley Holmes Vick and Anna Pearl Klinglesmith Vick, both of whom preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Helen Stivers Vick; his sister, Maribel Hurt and his brother, Wendell Holmes Vick.
Survivors include his brother, Robert Earl Vick and Sandra of Glendale; a son, Carroll E. Vick and Connie of Round Rock, TX; a daughter, Rita Sue Moriarity of Cedar Park, TX and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private family graveside services will be held in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens at a later date.
