Zechariah Wesley Rauch

Zechariah Wesley Rauch was born March 15, 2004, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to John Wesley Rauch and Carole Brown. He was legally adopted in 2009 by his paternal great grandparents, George and Barbara Rauch. Zech, as he was affectionately called, started his school career with kindergarten at Dell City Elementary. During his junior high and early high school years, he enjoyed playing football and basketball with the Dell City Cougars. Zech was an avid hunter and loved any chance he got to go out on the ranch or on the back roads to hunt rabbits and coyotes or, in season, deer and wild game. Zech was a great help to his Grandad (George) on the ranch working cattle and any other of the numerous ranch chores that needed to be done. Zech had many close friends, and he was loved by his classmates, teachers and the community of Dell City that he was proud to call his home. Zech was a very proud daddy. His daughter Elaney Skii Rauch recently turned one year old. He has one biological brother, Jeremiah George Rauch, and many others who proudly called him their grandson, nephew, or cousin. Zech departed this earth November 18, 2022, at the young age of 18. His services will be held at First Baptist Church in Dell City, Texas on November 21, 2022. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. and the Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Dell Valley Memorial Acres Cemetery.
