William “Billy” Abraham, 78, El Paso Native passed away December 1st, 2012 with his wife by his side. Billy was a Lieutenant Colonel for the United States Army. For over thirty years he worked for Casa Carpets and the last few years of his life he worked with his great friend Miguel Diaz in the carpet business. Billy enjoyed his trips with his wife and grandson Boy to California. He was known for being the last one to arrive to a party and the last one to leave. All the boys enjoyed hanging out with him, sipping some drinks and listening to all his stories from back in his day. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Alida, his children; Raul, Michael (Liz), Ana (Roger). He was a loving “Pop” to his beautiful grandchildren; Dani, Boy, Lysha, Ali, Micho, Kaleb, Sammy and Jude. Last but not least his best friend and caregiver Chris Peña. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Del Angel Martin Central with 7pm rosary. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 North Clark Dr. Burial services will be private. Pallbearers will be Raul, Michael, Boy, Chris, Miguel, Leonard and Gilberto. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Cosca, Sib Abraham, Mickey Esper and Nazery Abraham.
A heartfelt thanks for their kind and gentle ways to Dr. Augustine Eleje and staff and to Dr. David Dobrin.
