She was born in Santa Monica, California and came to El Paso with her parents, Mercy and Larry Valdez, siblings Henry, Carlos, and Laura at the age of 12. She graduated from Austin High School and worked in the book publishing industry while devotedly raising three children as a single mom.
She is survived by:
Children - Ric “The Golden Child” Rocha, Ana Lisa “Ugly” Barcena, and Eric “Brat” Rocha.
Sisters – Laurie Valdez Hurtado and Julia Valdez.
Grandchildren – Ditto, Doc, Seby, Adia, Edward, Maddie, Alexis, Jackie, and Trinity.
Great grandchildren – Ofelia, Zayden, and Myla.

Memorial services will be Monday June 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and the Rosary will be at 7:00 PM.
A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on 4800 Byron, 79930, at 10:00 AM.
