Virdena M. Lemons

She was born on May 22, 1926 to Matthew and Lena Gargus. She was the last of her generation and a part of the “greatest generation”. She worked in a factory during WWII when so many men were called to serve. She met Lieutenant James Lemons in 1948 and followed him on his many assignments after their marriage.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her daughter Sharon, grandson Cameron, and granddaughter Adrienne Schadrack. She is survived by daughter Anedra (Andi) Lemons Schadrack (Chuck) of Memphis, TN, and their children Caryl Curtis Crowell of St. George, Utah; Amanda Schadrack Beers (Joshua) of Liberty, Missouri, and William C. Schadrack IV (Stephanie) of Memphis, TN. Pat is also survived by her great-grandchildren Zachary, twins Meghan and Kiersten Crowell, Elizabeth, Sophie, and Lucas James Beers, and twins Rebecca and William C. Schadrack V.

Internment will be with her husband Jim at Ft. Bliss Cemetery.
