Mr. Vicente Salcido

Vicente C. Salcido went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday October 18, 2010 at 77 years of age. He was a lifelong resident of Fabens, Texas. Vicente was an electrician with Tovar Electric and later an Electrical Inspector with the City of El Paso.

Vicente was a devoted Husband and Father who gave nothing but his heart to his faith and community. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Celia R. Salcido; 4 children, Yolanda Rangel (Victor), Yvonne Salcido, Vicente M. Salcido , and Sandra Salcido; 3 grandchildren, Victoria Rae Rangel, Casey Austin Rangel and Stephen Anthony Salcido. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Jose Salcido, a brother Jose Salcido Jr., and a sister, Consuelo Guerrero.

Visitation will be on Thursday October 21, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Fabens with recitation of a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday October 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Rangel, Ted Gardea, Casy Rangel, Vicente M Salcido, Stephen Salcido, Antonio Morales, Rodolfo Avelar, and Eddie French.

Honorary pallbearers are Jaime Estrada and Hector Gonzalez.
