Velma Anita Rathwick

VELMA ANITA RATHWICK, born March 28, 1917 passed away January 19, 2012, 94 years of age. Velma was a resident of El Paso, Texas for most of her life. She was married to Mr. C.W. Rathwick for 60 years, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2000. Mrs. Rathwick was a homemaker, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved friend to many. Survivors include son Ray W. Rathwick (Tacoma, WA.), grandsons, Alan W. Rathwick (El Paso, TX) Chad Callaway (Tacoma, WA.), granddaughter, Raychel F. Rathwick-Powers (San Jose, CA), a special friend, who was like a daughter to Velma, Mrs. Christine Osborne (Mike), (Tacoma, WA), and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Rathwick was a member of Trinity- First United Methodist Church in El Paso for many years, where she was very active, and will be dearly missed by the congregation and staff there. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity-First United Methodist Church, 801 n. Mesa. Officiated by Pastor John Schwarting.
