Shannon Waldron lost her battle with an aggressive cancer on the morning of July 16. Shannon was born in an Army Hospital at Fort Belvoir, Virginia on 8 July 1970 and traveled to Key West, Florida and then on to Fort Bliss, Texas while her father was on active duty with the US Army. On her second birthday she received her first Dachshund puppy named Sally and Shannon developed a lifelong love for Dachshund puppies that she maintained all her life to include her own 18 puppies, 6 of which survive today. Shannon was an accomplished musician mastering the piano, saxophone and clarinet. Shannon graduated from Hanks High School and the University of Texas at El Paso with BBA. She joined Research Analysis and Maintenance, Inc. (RAM) as an accounting clerk and rose to the Chief Financial Officer while the company was operating at its peak of 800 employees and a 20% share of an international partnership operating in Kuwait with over 8500 employees. Shannon was a friend of many and gave willingly of her time to provide free gravis professional level photography support for sports and special events. She also supported the Humane Society and From the Heart Animal Rescue organization.
Shannon is survived by her parents Sharon and Bob Waldron, her sister Bethany from Austin and her brother John and wife Carie from Dallas as well as her precious nieces, Caitlin and Sadie. She has many aunts, uncles and cousins who also share in mourning this loss.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at F.D.A. Martin East, 1460 George Dieter. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at F.D.A.
