Celebration of the life of SALVADOR RODRIGUEZ, III. MARCH 19, 1949 - JULY 11, 2013. "A good life isn't a place at which you arrive, it is a lens through which you see and create the world." Good Life Project "Living Creed" Loving son of Salvador A. Rodriguez and Lupe Guerrero Rodriguez, brother of Rita Rodriguez, Cesar and Patricia R. Gonzalez, and Ricardo Rodriguez, uncle of Matthew, Aria and Adria, photographer, friend, mentor and teacher at Andress High School unexpectedly passed on July 11, 2013. He and our father are together in their ultimate journey to reunite with our mother and loved ones that predeceased them. Sal graduated from Burges High School in 1967, attended University of Texas at El Paso, and graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2004. Although he ventured in different careers, he found his true calling in his later years - teaching high school. He taught photography, computer classes and life lessons at Andress High School. In 2010, he was honored as Andress Teacher of the Year. Soft spoken, he listened to all and provided wise advice. His stressed the importance of building a productive and full life. Through his photography he created truth and beauty. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home-West, 128 N. Resler, El Paso, Texas from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Burial services to held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps, El Paso, Texas. A reception will follow at Dominguez Mexican Food Restaurant, 1201 Airway Blvd. C5, El Paso, Texas.
