The Lujan family is saddened to announce the death of their beloved Ruben Lujan on Friday March 19, 2021. Ruben was born in El Paso, TX to Jose P. and Julia Lujan on January 2, 1979. Ruben grew up in Dell City and participated in Special Olympics with his Coach Mrs. Della Tavarez. He ran 100M and threw softball. Would always bring home the Gold. Then moved to El Paso with is parents and sister Sara in 2000. Graduated from Montwood High School in 2001 then started to work for SISD as custodian. He worked for SISD for 20 years. Ruben broke down many barriers having intellectual disability. Everyone who met Ruben loved him. He was always smiling and always made you feel special in his own way. He joined Special Olympics Bowling team in El Paso and got to travel to State many times. His passion for bowling was unbelievable, his heart was Bowling and making it to state every year with his Coach Walley. He loved outdoors, helping others and he was #1 Dallas Cowboys Fan!! Everything that was Cowboys fan gear, Ruben had it. He is preceded in death by his parents. Jose P. and Julia Lujan and great niece Bella Ann Lujan. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Lori Facio (Robert), JD Lujan (Misty) and Sara Lujan Urias (Javier). Nieces and nephews: Alexis F. McDaniel (Derek), Robert Facio, Georgia, Dakota, Montana, Larry, Eddie and Alex Lujan. Great niece and nephews, Effy Ella Baza, Kyren Lee Lujan, and Tony Niko Baza, and numerous Family members and friends. Visitation for Mr. Lujan will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2021 from 1:00PM to 4:30PM at Martin Funeral Home East with recitation of the rosary at 2:00PM. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday April 8, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
