Rosemary graduated from Central Commercial High School in New York in 1956. She left her bookkeeping position at Diamond Tool and Die to marry her beloved husband, Michael Joseph Twomey. She traveled as an Army wife for over 20 years, raising her children and supporting her husband before settling in El Paso, Texas in 1972. Rosemary was a woman of faith and charity, a lover of music and animals, and she kept kindness and generosity at the center of her life.
Rosemary is survived by her sister, Margaret Jane Von Torne; her children: Catherine Ann Twomey, Linda Sue Russell, Timothy Francis Twomey and his wife Celia Twomey, and Margaret Rose Twomey. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren Megan Lea Lavender Clark (Andrew Blake Clark), Jason Michael Lavender (Shannon Gail Lavender), Eric Walter Lavender (Michelle Rose Lavender), Amanda Danielle Twomey, Michael Timothy Twomey, Laura Elizabeth Hernandez, Anthony Joseph Hernandez, and Toshyanna Arabella Villalobos (Johnny Ray Villalobos): and 3 great-grandchildren: Vienna Jean Lavender, Eugene Joshua Villalobos, and Rosemary Juanita Villalobos.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph Twomey, both of her parents, and her brother, Theodore Von Torne.
Services for Rosemary Catherine Twomey are as follows: Visitation on Monday, October 23rd from 4 PM to 8 PM at Martin Funeral Home East on George Dieter with Rosary at 6 PM.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 24th at 8:30 AM at Martine Funeral Home East on George Dieter to be followed by the entombment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rosemary's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
