Rosalie A. Tedesco, age 73, died peacefully on August 22, 2015 at home with her family by her side after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost 3 years prior. Rosalie was born August 7, 1942, in Blanford, Indiana, the daughter of Albino and Mabel Chiado.
Rosalie enjoyed traveling, cooking, square dancing, playing pinochle and socializing with friends & family. She was the life of any party and could light up a room.
After high school, Rosalie became a nurse, where she met her future husband Carl E. Tedesco Sr. through one of her patients. In 1968, Carl & Rosalie were married. Due to his military service, Carl & Rosalie moved around wherever duty called: North Carolina, Germany and finally El Paso, TX. In El Paso she continued to work as a nurse and in the healthcare industry. She retired in 2008. Rosalie raised three children of her own and adopted a fourth.
Rosalie is survived by: her sister, Linda Cunningham of Shelton, WA; son, Carl (II) of Cardiff, CA and daughters, Christine Tedesco of Glendale, AZ, and Carolyn Escandon of El Paso; grandsons, Jacob Escandon and Matthew Escandon of El Paso, and Nicholas Escandon of Oceanside, CA; four nieces and five nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
