Robert Gardea Jr., Aka “Little Robert” died peacefully on January 16th, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Surrounded by Aunts Mary and Patty, he succumbed to internal injuries at Baylor University Hospital after being struck by a hit and run driver on January 5, 2023. Robert Jr. was born in Albuquerque New Mexico to parents Maria Eugenia Gardea and Robert Gardea Sr. Little Robert was native of El Paso, Lived briefly in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tucson, Arizona, the Philippines and Germany. Little Robert enjoyed visiting new places and traveling. He was on his way to visit San Antonio’s riverwalk when his travel was cut short. Little Robert enjoyed life and will always be remembered by his unique carefree attitude and crazy sense of humor. He loved to read Stephen King novels, going to concerts and listening to headbanging music as well as country. His favorite musicians/artist included Steven Morrissey and Merle Haggard. Little Robert is survived by Robert Sr., Stepmom Yolanda, and his older brother Marco and little sister Elizabeth Kim. Robert was one of thirty-one grandchildren to Gramma Gertrude, deceased and Grampa Felipe. His soul is in company of all our loved ones who share eternal Life with Christ, Gramma Gertrude, mother Genia, stepbrother Michael, uncle Carlos, cousin Patrick, cousin Sonny and cousin Matthew.
Robert Gardea Jr. will be buried alongside his mother Maria Eugenia Gardea at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery Located at 8700 Dyer St. El Paso, Texas 79907.
Burial services to be announced sometime early-May.
