Robert Michael Boatwright, 49, was born in Landstuhl, Germany. Albeit not being born in El Paso, the city was his home for 29 years. He was a proud veteran serving the Army for 25 years with two tours in Iraq. He was a former sheriff with the Johnson County Police Department in Indiana and a law enforcement officer with the Anchorage Police Department in Alaska. He also was a skilled-trim carpenter during his construction days. Finally serving 10 years of his life with the U.S. Border Patrol as an agent and K-9 handler. His devotion to law enforcement, a career in which he never tired, allowed him to do all the things he loved, helping people in need, directly or indirectly, stranger or friend. Always recognized by his extensive beloved Dallas Cowboys wardrobe, and child-like behavior, which kept him young at heart. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed beyond anything that can be conceived by words.
Robert Michael Boatwright passed away on November 20, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his children, Dallas and Kari Odham (Taylor Odham) Father and mother, Jerry and Kathryn. Foster mom Janice Zimmerman. Sisters Luana Parker and Kimberly. Numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, and people with whom he helped throughout the entirety of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his foster father Glenn A. Zimmerman and younger sister Kari. May he find them in the hereafter.
