Richard is survived by his loving son Richard A. Montes Jr. and his siblings Lorenzo R. Montes, Rodolfo Montes, Judy P. Montes Cortez, Dolores D. Loya and Maria A. Bernal.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife Olga Chacon Montes; his parents Ernestina D. Montes and Juan A. Montes; and his brother Juan A Montes Jr..
A visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79936. A vigil will occur Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79915. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
