“Becky,” as known by family and friends, was born on September 29, 1936.
Her strong love and care for our beloved Mother, Catalina Alonzo Ramos, was remarkable. As the oldest of 3 brothers and one sister, she continued her care for her siblings, nephews, and nieces. She was a Godmother to several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rebecca touched many hearts throughout her life.
She attended Burleson and Ascarate Elementary and Tech High School on Rio Grande Street. Her first job was at age 15 in the candy department at SH Kress, advancing as a clerical clerk and bookkeeper. She later joined McKesson Robbins, Zork Hardware, First Savings and Loan, and Mission Credit Union and retired from DeWitt and Rearick.
She is preceded in death by our Mother, Catalina; brothers, Raul and Roberto; and nephew, Christopher Venecia, survived by a brother, Ricardo (Florinda); sister, Raquel (Joe); nine nieces and five nephews; several great grandnieces and grandnephews that remember her with loving hearts.
Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Nurse Rickie Reyes and Norma Torres. Caregivers, Myriam Gonzalez and Linda Salazar.
