Ramon “INDIO” A. Hernandez. A lifelong El Pasoan who devoted himself to his beloved family and friends. He was born September 15, 1948 and Passed away on March 17, 2018 at the age of 69. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a hard-working member of Phelps Dodge Rod Mill for 28 years. He is survived by his beloved family; His sister’s Gloria Hernandez of El Paso and Joanna Murillo of Chicago. His four loving children, Rene (Alma), Rachel (Ric), Rosemarie (Jonathan), and Ramon Jr. His six grandchildren, Samantha, Rene, Amber, Diego, Isabelle, and Jonathan Jr. His five great grandchildren, Alea, Zavier, Ivy, Zane, and Nyla. His Niece and Nephew, Liza (Tury), and Charlie and all their children. He was an awesome DAD, Grandpa, and Uncle to us all. He had many many friends he loved and we are forever grateful to them for always being there for him. He will be missed tremendously. REST EASY DAD- Ride in Paradise! Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., with a vigil at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 12pm at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Drive. Graveside service and interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
