Rachel Maria Parra Castro

Rachel Maria Castro, 74, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto and Dolores Parra, sisters and brother, Irene Hernandez, Rudy Parra and Mary Lou Parra and daughter-in-law, Laura Castro. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jose Castro, their children Jaime Castro, Ricky Castro,Maria Magdalena Colmenero (Jose Daniel), Enrique Castro (Maria Isabel), Elizabeth Betsy Cloud (Curtis), Eduardo Castro (Leticia) and Cynthia Ann Santilli (Mark). Rachel is also survived by her siblings Gloria Lopez, Connie Hinojos, Bertha Hammond, Tito Roberto Parra, Jessie Reyes, Yolanda Aragon and Alfredo Parra, 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, October 27th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina with Vigil begining at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 28th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina 598-3332 El Paso, TX.
