Philip J. Briganti

He was ordained a priest on May 26, 1973. Father Phil, as he liked to be known retired from the U.S. Army in 2004 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years of service.

He served for many years as associate pastor at St. Raphael Catholic Church.

Father Phil is survived by his brother James Briganti (Denise) of El Paso; nephew Mark Briganti (Jeanne);niece Genevieve Gural (Timothy) of Bloomfield, New Jersey. He is also leaves his great nephew Vincent Dominic and great nieces Sophia Isabelle and Emilia Maria to cherish his memory.

Visitation for Father Phil will be Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:00 PM at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd., El Paso, TX 79925.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 12:00 PM at St. Raphael Catholic Church.

Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
