Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Magdalena DeAnda.
Nancy is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 69 years, Henry Dawson Soza; her son H. Wayne Soza (Martha); her daughter Nancy Rosanne Soza; and her daughter Cindee Marie Soza; her sister Gloria Pryor. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren (Jonna and Ryan) and 2 great-grandchildren (Stella and Mia).
The most important thing to Nancy was her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked for over 25 years with YISD and was a devoted parishioner of St. Raphael for over 50 years. Nancy was a very social person and a great cook who loved to entertain not only her family, but her many friends and co-workers and living life to its fullest. Although we have lost a gentle soul, heaven is welcoming a beautiful angel.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, Texas 79925 followed by the interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Ryan Stout, Chuck Pryor, Jeff Pryor, Eddie Soza, Eddie Cano, Rick Lopez and Jose Luis Sanchez.
