Uncle Mike, 
Ya know, the some of the best memories I have of you are from when I was a kid.  I got lost at the park one time, and if you had not been there with Christopher for one of his baseball games, I really don't know what would have happened.  It also started to get really cold, and you gave me your giant white and purple (the team's colors) jacket.  When my dad realized he had lost me, he's running around looking for a kid without a completely oversized and different color jacket on, and probably took him longer to find me 'cuz of that.  And this before cell phones were a thing kids.  Back in the day, you actually had to look for people with your eyes and legs.  
I remember swimming in your pool at the Newcastle house.  I remember how you decorated Christopher's room with sports and turf and I thought it was so cool.  
I remember going bird hunting with you.  We did that alot.  
One other thing I will add is, to this day, my siblings and I have a phobia of balloons because you used to hold us down and pop them in our faces.  Thanks for that :P
RIP Uncle Mike.  Chris, Melissa, Kathy (hi!) my condolences to you guys.  I miss and love you.  I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person to provide comic relief like at Grandma Burt's.  Take care and talk to you later.

My condolences for your loss. I have a sweet memory. Back when we we’re going to Fannin Elementary, Mike and I had our first little puppy love friendship. This was in the 5th grade. Then Mike’s Dad was transferred to Okinawa. Before they left, His Mom drove us to Northgate theater to see The Jungle Book and my Mom picked us up. We wrote letters to each other for 5 yrs. which I still have.

You will forever be in my heart and I feel blessed to have shared more than half of my life with you. To Melissa and Chris,thank you for being there. I love you both.
