On Saturday, December 5, 2020, our beloved Mary Lou Trejo was called home by our Lord in Heaven at the age of 85. Her unconditional love and loyalty to her family and friends will always be missed and never forgotten.
Mary Lou was born in El Paso, Texas on February 24, 1935. A graduate of Bowie High School, she always recognized herself as a proud, Bowie Bear. After high school, Mary Lou married high school sweetheart, Antonio Eduardo Enriquez. She was was a proud, supportive mother to her three sons, Anthony E. Enriquez of El Paso, Texas, Bernard R. Enriquez of Salt Lake City, Utah and Victor E. Enriquez of El Paso, Texas. Later in life, she married Samuel J. Dwyer Jr., Esq. After his passing, she married Guillermo Trejo, who she had reconnected with while taking part in the planning committee for their 50th Bowie High School reunion.
A lifelong El Pasoan, Mary Lou had a lucrative career working for The City of El Paso. For over 30 years, she was passionate in her roles as a City administrator and personal executive secretary to several mayoral administrations.
While retired, Mary Lou enjoyed traveling, gardening and had a deep devotion to her many beloved pets.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymundo Reyes and Maria Elodia Reyes. She is survived by her 3 sons, 6 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter and many brothers and sisters in the El Paso area.
To honor her memory on her birthday, services will be held at Martin Funeral Home West on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10 am. Flowers can be donated to the funeral home, prior to service. Due to
Covid-19, attendance will be limited but will be live streamed on the Martin Funeral Home (West)
