Mary was born in El Paso, Texas on April 2, 1933 at a clinic located in the second ward. She was preceded in death by her parents Careem Eddy and Mary Dive Eddy. Mary's husband, Gilbert V. Tellez, her brothers Johnny, Eddy, and Edward Eddy and her only sister Estella Eddy Garcia.
Mary is survived by her children Norma Tellez Cadena (Richard), Bertha Tellez, Albert Tellez (Patsy), Richard Tellez and Selma Tellez Tombosky. Mary had 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mary grew up with her parents and siblings in Borderland, New Mexico. She meet the love of her life Gilbert V. Tellez at Gadsden High School. In their sophomore year they got married on October 24, 1953. Mary was famous for her cooking especially her famous beans, tortillas, chile salsas and especially her Lebanese food. There was not one person that Mary did not love. Mary loved having people over and helping everyone that came into her life. Her favorite hobbies were bowling, Las Vegas and enjoyed eating out.
