Martha Emma Kunze Morgan passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, January 1st, 2023, at age 93.
Martha was born on July 28, 1929, to Otto and Anna Kunze, in Bansau, Krs Glogau, North Schlesien, Germany.
At the end of World War II, in 1945, a few years would pass before Martha would meet Rodney Theodore Morgan, the love of her life and marry. Rodney preceded her in death in 1994; together they would have 5 sons, 3 daughters and an adopted granddaughter.
Martha dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful wife, mother and friend. No other has excelled at motherhood. She was the foundation of our family, through and through. She was an excellent gift giver, always knew the right thing to say and never missed a special date. Martha had a strong testimony of the gospel and a love for the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Martha struggled off and on with health issues later in life. She successfully conquered breast cancer. She was as tough as nails, even to the end.
Martha is survived by her sons, Viktor (Jacquie) Morgan, Ronald (Debra) Morgan, Carl Morgan, Rodney (Tami) Morgan and Eric (Tiffany) Morgan; daughters, Brenda (Jesse) Hernandez, and Tawana Morgan; her sister Dora Schendzielorz; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 5 great, great grandchildren; additional extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodney T Morgan; parents, Otto and Anna Kunze; daughters Renate A. Randall and Patricia A. Morgan, brothers, Gerhard Kunze and Otto Kunze; sisters, Erna Kunze Wiesenmann, Elli Kunze Wolf, Freida Kunze and Herta Kunze Rittner.
A viewing service will be held Wednesday, January 11th, from 5-9pm, with a prayer/funeral service at 7:00 pm, at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, TX 79904. An interment and graveside dedication will follow on Thursday, January 12th, at 9:00 am, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
