She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Fred Abeyta, her mother Rosa Pioquinto, and father Leo Pioquinto.
She is survived by her son Fred (Tina Corral), daughter, Yvonne, and her 4 loving grandsons, Julio Marquez, Vincent Barajas, Jesse Barajas, and Cody Rediker, along with her sisters Norma Lewis (Daniel Lewis), Alice Hernandez (Miguel Hernandez), Carmen Hernandez (Rudy Hernandez); brothers Tony Pioquinto (Gina Pioquinto), Charlie Pioquinto (Suki Pioquinto), and many nephews and nieces who respected and loved her.
She graduated from tech high school in 1962 top 10% of her class. Her profession began at zork hardware in 1962. Later she moved on to bixler and carlton accounting firm where she worked for 17 years. Her life then took her to a new employment family, the El Paso Independent School District where she would retire from after 20 years of service. She was a woman of word and dedicated her life to her family.
Our Angel will truly be missed.
A funeral mass for Martha will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79938.
